No.
You can even have multiple different browsers open at the same time surfing the web, doesn't hurt anything either other than system resources being higher to run both simultaneously.

Only conflict would be over which opens HTML and such as the default browser.

Get FF and use the IE add-on when needed. Best of both worlds.
use the SRWare Iron browser. it's just like chrome but with many security and privacy features built in. i use FF and Iron and love them both. never any problems.

I have downloaded Mozilla Firefox, but want to keep Internet Explorer as my default browser.
I went into You Tube, using Mozilla Firefox, tried to play a video, and was told I had to download the Adobe Flash Player plug-in.
When I look at "Add/Remove Programmes" it states I have Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX. I can access You Tube videos with Internet Explorer, but would like to be able to use Mozilla Firefox as well.
Can I simply download the Adobe Flash player plug-in again, to achieve this, even though I already appear to have it?
I assume the Flash player plug-in is the same thing as Flash Player 10 ActiveX.

If you go to the Adobe download site with Firefox, it will install the right version. The same goes with other browsers, whichever one you access the download page with, it installs that version.

The best browser to use if your unsure of which one to use is Firefox, but you might find Opera a little bit faster.
