I am running CCleaner (latest version as of 10/02/2009) on Vista Ultimate SP1 (32-bit). I set it up to autorun CCleaner at startup via the Windows Task Manager, exactly as outlined in this forum, to avoid the Vista UAC from prompting me.
The Task Manager log indicates each day that CCleaner ran successfully (at startup). However, nothing is actually cleaned! For instance, if I leave a file in the Recycle Bin, it is not cleaned when I startup the PC again (I don't even see the CCleaner icon at all on the task tray when I startup each day). However, if I manually execute the command "CCleaner /AUTO" from a command prompt, it works! I don't understand it - Task Manager says that it was successful, but in fact nothing has been done?!?

Can you point me to where in the forum this is outlined (TaskManager setup) I must have missed this post and it sounds as if it is not actually connecting as the user you are (the one with the recycle bin file)
