Kaspersky is the latest security firm to defend the importance of third-party security apps to work with Windows Vista, claiming that Vista?s new security features are unlikely to deliver long-term robust protection.
The company has published an article examining Vista?s new security features, and claims users cannot rely on them to protect their PCs.
Kaspersky?s Alisa Shevchenko looks at Vista features such as User Account Control, Patchguard and Internet Explorer 7?s security tools. She said Microsoft?s efforts to enhance security are a positive step, but not enough to remove the need for third-party security software.
Is anyone really surprised by this?
Of course they don't think its enough.. if they did then they would go out of business!
Vista is probably going to be like xp when it comes to virues. If you use commen sense and keep it updated than everything should be fine.
If you click on junk email, download crap off p2p, and go to warez sites than your going to get lots of junk.
