Is there any benefit to turning off a virus scanner during a defrag?
Does it matter if the defrag is being done on the OS drive or a data drive?

Kinda answered in here: http://forum.pirifor...showtopic=35891
Usually:
Less processes/services/programs running/open = less data in use/locked ("more to defrag") = better defragmentation results
