Viewing PDF documents in Firefox 19

Firefox 19 comes with a new PDF viewer add-on called PDF.js; it is absolutely terrible! The first PDF I tried to display (http://helpx.adobe.c...r_reference.pdf) looks like this

To fix this and use your standard PDF viewer plugin: Tools | Options | tab Applications

change (Content type: Portable Document Format)

to

Now your PDF document should display correctly in your PDF viewer plugin

In case you do not see 'Portable Document Format' under the Applications tab, you may need to reset your Firefox profile (Help | Troubleshooting | Reset Firefox).

I'll just stick with my standalone pdf viewer and open any I need to using Sandboxie.

I guess it will get fixed eventually.

not a problem with the update if you use Foxit for your PDF needs.

Firefox keeps the Foxit Plugin as the prefered action.

I guess it will get fixed eventually.

I have seen posts in the Mozilla forums that promises an improved version for Firefox 20/21. That would be useful if you use a 64-bit version like Waterfox or Cyberfox.
