Some very odd happenings with v2.08.588 on Windows Vista SP1. I'll post two screenshots to demonstrate. What are "uninst.exe" and "CCleaner.exe" doing as entries here? If I attempt to remove or disable these two entries from CCleaner > Tools > Start Up, CCleaner physically removes the "uninst.exe" from the system and then generates an error (see pic 2). I've never encountered this behaviour before, and I've been using CCleaner for years. FYI. When installing, I did NOT select for CCleaner to run during startup.

I figured I would reply now.Don't be surprised to hear from some other Dual core Vista users.
There are others that have been waiting a long time for this to be fixed.Start-up items that is.

You really know how to go looking for problems don't you?
Are you sure the program was installed to Vista equivalent of C:\Program Files\CCleaner
Alright. All CCleaner registry keys (and their tree counterparts) removed from registry. MS Config reports no Start Up items. Yet still, CCleaner reports that "CCleaner.exe" is among start up keys, as referenced in my picture above. Wonder where on Earth it's pulling this information from, because it sure isn't from my registry.
Any ideas where I can get the previous version from?
