Version 7 ruined your app

Hello. I’ve been a big fan of your software for many years, but your recent update to version 7 ruined it in so many ways it is almost comical.

  • The update to 7 was forced, even though I had set my CCleaner to UPDATE ONLY MANUALLY
  • When I install, I always set up my CCleaner to disable itself from automatically getting started up on PC boot, which has been a great feature. Now you apparently made your app part of the Services and it can no longer be disabled - AT ALL. This makes your app bloatware. It even opens up the CCleaner window on my face as I boot my PC, like an added insult. You live in some sort of delusion that all users need to use CCleaner every day on every boot, which is laughable.
  • I cannot even turn the app off from the bottom right icon. I have to go to the Task Manager to manually kill it every time I start my computer.

Anyway I did not even use any of your features now, because the above irked me to such degree and wasted my precious time. Now, I am a pretty sedate man, and even I got heated up over your forced update. Imagine all the time you wasted from the millions of users who counted on you, and fix your app. Currently it is unusable and I had to uninstall it.

I agree and now I cannot erase ver 7 because it is open somewhere on my computer. This version seems to erase all my cookies even when the box is not check, creating a nightmare for me. Where is the registry erase option, hidden? I dislike this version and cannot get rid of it.

In custom clean and imho too dangerous to use

I went searching online to make sure this wasn’t just me. I couldn’t even shut it down with task manager. It would just start back up again. I used Revo and just removed every trace of it from my PC. I was a long time user, but forcing it to start up and no option to shut it down is unacceptable.

Manually killing it in Task Manager doesn’t even work for me, it just re-launches itself like 5 seconds after I click end tasnk.

It never fails sooner or later great software goes down the drain. These software companies hire incompetent Millennials who ruin everything. I was a user since the beginning and now I’m done. Uninstalled and forgotten. You have to use a third party uninstaller like Revo to uninstall it because it hijacks your system files

Deep agreement. This is a tragic jump.the.shark moment. I’ve been a CCleaner user from the beginning, and have put it on the computers of my several hundred computer consulting clients. No more. I’ve emailed them all about this latest version, with directions on how to fully uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller, and instructions on how to install {Competition Software removed} in its place.
