Ive just upgraded to Professional and Version 6 seemed to work the one time I used it. Then I get an email telling me to upgrade to Version 7 which I did and it doesn’t work at all - just frozen. I do a repair install and now it has put my back on the free version I’ve tried re-downloading and reinstalling the original Version 6 I received several times but it’s just the free version with the option to upgrade. This is starting to feel like a scam. Please help.
Ive only just upgraded to Professional. Downloaded upgrade to Version 7 which is a disaster. I have tried redownloading and installing from my original order email but it has put me back on the free version with no option to enter my product key. What is going on?
Simply enter your existing licence key to register/activate the newly installed Free version as a Pro version again.
In v6 go to Options>Licence key
In v7 go to Settings>My Subscription.
PS. I’ve done it multiple times, and for both versions, over the last week.
That was the problem. Under My subscriptions there was no option to enter the licence key. It was as if I had no subscription. In the end I resolved by starting to uninstall the app (which was showing as Version7) and selecting repair. I had to do this repair repeatedly about 7 times before the paid version finally came up with the option to enter the licence key. What a mess! CCleaner - if it ain’t broke, don’t “fix” it. The purpose of paying for an app is to save yourself time and effort and so far it’s had the opposite effect. Very unhappy customer.
