verry unhappy with ccleaner

The newest versions (also when I upgrade) check automatically history of firefox and cookies. This is very, very stupide for users who doe not go to problematic sites.

And it seems that the program install automatically Chrome ... it is not a good service fpr Google that you force users to use this stupid program.

There are some users who does not like this kind of forcing.... please stop to hope that all useres are stupid. The next time when I see that ccleaner made again these problems, I change to an other program and I recommand also an other program to all of my clients. I want not to waste my time with deinstallations of the s**t programs from google. And I want not to recreate the history of firefox an the cookies.

If you do not want to respect the liberty of the useres of your program, please try to go to North-Corea.

But you can cancel/stop it..?

Piriform's software, like CCleaner, are free, and I guess they get something when including ie. Google Chrome in the "normal" installation of CCleaner.

You can untick/uncheck the Chrome while installing, or install "Slim" version or just use the "Portable" version.

Just to add to Nodles comments, from my own experience, the Google Chrome "opt out" page is very slow at appearing during the install, and many people have been caught out by this and have clicked to the next stage before it appears,

Why this "delay" happens is anyone's guess, but I think that's what must have happened in your case.

The devs are aware of this.
