v5.42.6495 breaks chrome profile

CCleaner v5.42.6495 64bit

Google Chrome 66.0.3359.117 64bit

Windows 10 x64 LTSB

When I check "Last Download Location" even if CCleaner doesn't found anything and press "Run Cleaner" and then open Chrome I got all settings reset in Chrome and window for report crash to Chrome devs.

Same problem, CCleaner breaks my Chrome profile, but in my case it is when "Internet History" is checked.

Same for me, this is becoming even more useless with every update.

CCleaner v 5.42 6495 does not work. After analyzing the browser Google Chrome does not clean, close. Restore. v 5.41 worked. The Windows 7 system. After each update it gets worse.

yes this version is broken. My Chrome settings are wiped. In folder UserData/Default appeared file Preferences.bad (broken settings) and Chrome will create new file Preference. I have found if I clear all my browsing data in chrome and then I run CCleaner, settings are not wiped. So workaround is clear you browsing data inside Chrome first and then run CCleaner.

Strange thing is, there is nothing about Chrome cleaning changes in changelog.

I am still waiting for emergency fix trough CCleaner emergency updater because this is critical bug.

I hope fix arrive soon.
