Previous version cleaned the XP start menu "most recently used programs" list but this version has failed to do so.

I've tried and re-tried before reporting this. Let me first make sure we're talking about the same setting. Which setiting in CCleaner did you turned on to clean the most frequently used program shortcuts in your Start Menu?

It did for me. I have XP and the lastest version. I did not want it too. I forgot to uncheck the box. In Issues, File Integrity, I have both boxes checked. Do you? Most CCleaner users check everything anyway.
