I`m attaching a short list of outdated drivers. Questions: Is there a point in updating those drivers? If yes, what are the benefits? Thanks.
I almost always update drivers, mainly 'cause bugfixes and better performance, but sometimes for more/new features.
I always update my drivers, same reasons as nodles. There's little reason for me not to.
I agree in usual terms with the above two posters, I have had to roll some drivers back after the upgrade (usually nVidia or switching to earlier versions of Atheros when a dLink driver is cruddy)
Do the performance improvements related to the above mentioned driver updates worth the risk of some screwed up driver?
Is there a trusted program to identify outdated drivers with links to downloads?
If it were me, I would update it in the hopes of performance improvement. Hit & miss. Sometimes you will see a difference, other times it will feel the same speed.
It's worth trying, just in case it does improve the speed.
