Question:

When you choose to uninstall a program in ccleaner, does it just invoke the program's uninstall routine (the program you are trying to uninstall), or does ccleaner have its own uninstall routine or do something additional, like check for registry entrys and empty directories?

CCleaner runs the applications own uninstall routines, with nothing extra searched for.

The benefit of using CCleaner is simply the speed with which it loads the Program list.
