Uninstall Unlisted Program?

Quark is not listed in Start Programs, nor in the Windows add/remove, nor in CCleaner.

How can I get CCleaner to remove it?

Thanks!

Jaums

Having a quick google, seems as though it's tricky to remove.

Old thread here that seems to still be valid as I seen it quoted also on a 2008 thread.

Would also help if you listed your operating system and version of Quark. :)

Welcome to Piriform Jaums.

CC uses the same Add/Remove as Windows, so its not listed in Windows then it won't be in CC either.

I installed RegCleaner 4.3.0.780 last Friday. I had a quick play around with it then I decided to uninstall it. Its not listed in Add/Remove nor CC so I looked in the installed folder and there was an uninstall.exe. I clicked on that and it disappeared. Check the Quark default folder for such a file. ;)

By the way gays/gals RegCleaner 4.3.0.780 will work with all versions of Windows. I've been using and still use RegClean.exe made by Microsoft but its not suitable for Win2k/XP/Vista.

RegCleaner 4.3.0.780

Be very careful with RegCleaner 4.3.0.780 as that registry cleaner is from 2002 which is just about the age of the time the Dinosaurs where exterminated in relation to current times.

Stick with hazelnut's advice and you can't go wrong.

XP and Quark you may as well format the drive and do a fresh install if you want to delete then both. ;)

What have you done so far to try and uninstall it?

I want to uninstall Quark and leave XP. Don't want to unstall XP.

So far all I have done is look under Start, Programs, Quark and under Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs for an uninstaller. Also Googled.

If you look in that link I gave, there are some ideas there which have helped others with the same problem.

Most programs keep an uninstaller in the program file where you installed it from.

quark doesn't seem to do this which makes it really difficult.

Try following some of those instructions in that link.

Another alternative is to post on the Quark forum here

Thanks for the link Hazel.

Doing a search on there for uninstall on there most users have this problem with v6.5 and what they are told to do is just delete the Quark folder. Jaums hasn't said which version he's using. ;)

Hi Jaums.

Quite often the windows installer clean-up utility can resolve this problem. Down load from link run the utility if quark is listed check the box and run. Make sure you only check the program you wish to uninstall.
