I just downloaded Recuva and tried to recover some videos deleted off of my iPod.
However, when I select the option in the Recuva Wizard "On my media card or iPod" a message pops up that says "No media cards or iPods were detected, please insert a card and press Retry."
I know my iPod is connected because it is plugged in and I can see it listed my computer.

You don't mention the model of your iPod, which may be the problem.
What Recuva can and can't do ...
Recover files from your iPod, iPod Nano, or iPod Shuffle (iPod Touch and iPhone not supported at this time). Recuva will even recover songs with Apple's FairPlay DRM.
If that's the problem, have a look at "MiniTool Power Data Recovery Free Edition 6.6.0".
