Unable to determine file system type on a healthy NTFS drive.

Hello,

I'm trying to scan my Western Digital My Passport 2TB external USB hard drive. Shows up as a healthy NTFS drive in the "computer management" screen on Windows 7. I can read and write from it fine. When I try to scan it with Recuva, it pops up a warning:

Failed to scan the following drives: F:: Unable to determine file system type.

I'm running 64bit Windows 7 on an Acer laptop.

Thanks!

Figured out a solution. I unmounted and remounted the hard drive and now it's working. Seems that even the drive was working well, it still needed to be remounted for it to work with recuva.

Hope this helps others!
