After upgrading my from Windows 7 to Windows 10, all of the disabled startup programs still display in the Startup tool window in CCleaner Professional 5.5.7108, but I am unable to either enable them or delete them. How can I remove the disabled entries from the Startup Tools list?
I received the following message when trying to delete a disabled program.
You may not want to hear this but after doing an upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 it is always best to then do a clean install of Win 10. Otherwise bits of old operating systems (in your case Win 7) will keep popping up all over the place.
You don't need to worry about a key as after you did your upgrade your key gets saved on the Microsoft servers and gets auto recognised.
CCleaner must be reading the list of inactive startup programs from somewhere. They don't appear anywhere in the current registry - only the enabled startup programs are in the current registry file. Would anyone be able to tell me where this list is being populated from? registry
