I went to open CCleaner today but my PC wouldn't allow it. My screen kept switching between a blank screen and my desktop (with icons on it). So I thought there was a problem with CCleaner itself so I went to filehippo.com to download the program again but everytime I visited the site or typed in CCleaner to google then my IE7 or Opera browser would shut down.
I used a System Restore to my previous good setup a day ago and it hasn't fixed the problem.
Anyone had this problem, what is it and how do I fix it?

I don't have HijackThis so I can't provide a log but I wouldn't be able to get it either because the same thing happened when I type this in as when I type CCleaner.
This is being reported but other users aswell, and no one seems to know exactly why yet.
As an added note many some of the same users cant run HijackThis either (As you've noticed trying to download it.)...
Hello, follow the below instructions:
Download ComboScan to your Desktop

Close all applications and windows.

Double-click on comboscan.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
- The scan may take a minute. When the scan is complete, a text file will open - ComboScan.txt
- A folder Comboscan will also open which contains the Comboscan.txt and a Supplementary.txt.
- Copy and paste the contents of ComboScan.txt in your next reply.

Extra Note: When running Comboscan, some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet - please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so. Also, it may happen that your Antivirus flags Comboscan as suspicious. Please allow the Comboscan to run and don't let your Antivirus delete it. (In this case, it may be better to temporary disable your Antivirus)
