Recently I've been getting pop-ups encouraging me to renew my CCleaner subscription, which will expire in the future. How do I turn off this spam? This is a new feature which I want to stop.

Did it just start doing that today? If so, you may want to check when your license actually expires since their licensing server has been causing allot of people issues today as seen here.
If that isn't the issue and you don't plan on renewing an easy way to stop it is to uninstall, and then get the newest freeware Slim build installer from here.
Thank you. It expires in December, so perhaps I will uninstalled. The message pops up every time I boot; very annoying. Past years I'd get an occasional, reasonable reminder, not constant spam.

So how do we stop spam notifications from CCleaner? It's telling me black friday sale on my desktop right now. I'm busy working. If I can't turn this off i'm canceling CCleaner. I don't care, no program that spams my desktop stays on my computer.
It's called advertising and every company in the world has to advertise or go out of business.
If you use the free version of any software that also has a paid for version then you will get occasional reminders to buy the main version, especially if there is a money saving offer going on at the time.
Even if you are using a paid for version you will get notifications of any sale offers - how else are you supposed to know about them?
It will take you all of half a second to dismiss any notification that you are not interested in.
TANSTAAFL.
In this particular case you should get no more than a maximum of 4 'Black Friday' notifications, and they will stop when the half price offer ends next Tuesday.
