trouble downloading ccleaner

After clicking download for ccleaner I was directed to donation page.

I entered home address, credit card #, email address and clicked on submit.

I printed out my payment receipt but still cannot download ccleaner.

I have not found any way to contact someone to help me.

I am registered to post on this blog page, can anyone help me see

what I have or have not done to be able to download ccleaner?

I read about this product in Reader's Digest and would like to use it.

I thank in advance anyone that can help me get ccleaner downloaded or

a refund of my purchase price.

Thank you Power member for responding. I typed in ccleaner in my browser and clicked on

the Piriform website. I clicked on download and I was directed to the donation page

immediately. I found no way to freely download ccleaner. The description of this

product was what I was looking for so I paid by credit card but I was still not able

to download anything. I kept getting redirected to the donation page every time I

clicked on download. I haven't tried the address you gave but after posting my first

question I did find the download for the portable ccleaner (usb portable).

I did download this but after analyzing my computer I saw that it contained files

for my AVG security suite and did not use the portaable ccleaner.

I am very new to trying anything other than email and browsing. I have problems almost

every time I try a new program.

I will use the web address you supplied and see what happens.

Key word, DONATION. CCleaner is freeware but obviously donations are appreciated. Did you click the donation from this page? http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download Always take the time to read the whole page you are on, and even re-read to double check. If in doubt. ASK.

If yes then atleast you donated to ccleaner, other wise you have been scammed. If you are very new to the internet. NEVER just enter your credit card details. If ever in doubt post here regarding any software. Many of us can easily spot a scam or can verifie reputable software.

Thank you Advanced member for responding. I did try filehippo first but allI could get to

was Registry Mechanic 9. When I came back to this post I used Crabz supplied link and

got the free download. I did run the ccleaner and removed about 500mb.

Also I did read the whole donation page more than once before giving my credit card info,

but thank you for reminding me and anyone else who is new to using the internet.

I wasn't having any problems with my computer but I wanted to see if it would run

faster after having tried to clean up anything that might be slowing it down.

p.s. The screen shot was where I first attempted to download ccleaner and it did

run me around in circles.
