Tools - Uninstall - Install Date wrong

CC v3.17.1689, Windows 7 Home Premium

There appears to be a bug in that the Install date listed for programs under Tool\Unistall is wrong (one day prior to actual installation - in my case, programs actually installed 21 April but CC reports Install Date as 20 April).

Is this just me or a genuine program bug?

There was a thread a while ago about this but nothing seems to have been resolved. Perhaps more info may be available now from members about this

The last version to specifically mention improving install detection was 2.34.100 in July 2010

Thanks, we'll look into this.

I noticed this today right after I installed 318.1707. A few of my installed programs now show an "Installed Date" of today (including McAfee which does update pattern files daily and CCleaner), and while many others appear 'normal', there are quite a few which show recent dates even though they've been there for quite some time and have not been updated etc. As far as the 'today' programs, HP Precision Scan (not updated for - literally years and not even used for over a month), FireFox, VLC, Windows Media Player 11 (which I haven't used since I installed VLC over a year ago), Compaq's Easy Access Button Support on this old Compaq which hasn't been touched since the OS was installed 4 years ago, etc.

XP Pro, 32Bit, SP3.

I do not trust HP

I very rarely used the printer.

I NEVER AT ANY TIME used Share to Web,

BUT they insisted upon launching a service and somehow restarting a process when I killed it.

I tracked down the rogue executable and had to rename its extension to stop it.

You might not use HP Precision Scan, but that does not mean it is not running.

You might not use Firefox, but if it is installed perhaps Firefox has auto-updated you to be a Beta Tester :o
