I did further testing with both CCleaner Free v6.35 and v6.36 (updated 29-May-2025) that appears to refute my previous statement.
I re-created the outbound block for CCleaner64.exe in my Windows Firewall on 24-May-2025 but so far the large pop-ups shown in my post <above> have not re-appeared. Since re-creating the firewall block all I’ve seen is that odd “flash” that occurs where the entire CCleaner interface briefly turns grey after each Custom Clean (i.e., instead of displaying the pop-ups - see Jeff_M’s 01-Apr-2025 Screen flashes).
This would suggest that my outbound firewall block has nothing (or very little) to do with the frequency of these particular pop-ups.
Hi @lmacri
I tried to blcok and unblock, it changed nothing
Since yesterday I get this message “503 service temporarily unavailable ngix” in the popup, instead their adversiting
Nothing is blocked, it seems a bug on their server
Tonight this error is gone
Interesting thing : when i got the ngix message it was impossible to close ccleaner, even with to force with “end task”
No choice, restarted the pc
