To erase definitively using ccleaner?

Hi from La Coruña,

I had erased files but I want to be sure nobody can to recover. I used ccleaner-tools-"erase empty space in my pc" but some people say that after that it´s possible to recover.

Anybody tried to used ccleaner to erase files definitively?

Thanks

It's safe to say that there is no possibility of recovering overwritten data. If anyone claims to be able to do this then please let us know. So anything overwritten ('erased') by CC will not be recoverable. As CC runs under Windows there are possibly some locked or system files that won't be overwritten, but in the main your data will have gone forever.

Thank you for your answer.

Sorry, I has just erased with ccleaner but I just recover many pictures .jpg. I made it with 35 passes

Are you using Drive Wiper or Wipe Free Space in Options/Settings? If Wipe Free Space did you check Wipe MFT? Have you recovered any of these files and are they valid? Were you still using your PC either during or after the Wipe Free Space?
