thunderbird

every time i try to install thunderbird 1.7 in always has the weird 7-zip error when getting ready to install. what is making this happen and how can i fix it. it happenes with the 1.5 version also

now it just not just turn out to be this all my programs are having werid installing affects that won't let them install. they are all giving me werid unzipping errors or just corupt files i just installed a fresh copy of windows so now windows files should be missing what might be the problem?

Uninstall 7-zip. See if you can then install programs.

i was thinking it was windows firewall could that be the problem?

i don't even have the program 7-ziped installed....

What exactly is the error message? Take a screenshot.

ALT+Prt Scr then paste into paint ect...

i will do that but could it be becuase my motherboard supprts the AMD X2's but it need a bios update to do so and i have not updated it yet?

i will try and update now

I'm not exactly too clear on what your talking about. You mentioned 7-zip but you dont have that installed....... I have no clue. Post the error message and I might be able to help.

everythime i try hosting it the file is two big how do i make the image file smaller?

Use jpg format

untitled8og.th.jpg

here is another of the errors

untitled0pd.th.jpg

Download and try to extract the files with this(this is what I use):

http://www.zipgenius.it/

Edit:

Get the zip from taruns site here. Just pick the one you want.

question how will this help with that I/O error?

I'm thinking there is something wrong with whatever your trying to extract the files with. Maybe your zip program is a piece and is skrewing up the files.

i tried zipgenius but all the same errors are acuring. Also why is it saying 7-zip when i have never even installed it?

Give me a minute I'm doing some searching on this error.

thanks!! i am just finishing updating my bios i will see what happens

Here is what I have found.

I have found a couple of reasons that it could be.

1. software conflict.

2. Bad Ram

Lets see what you have running. Post a hjt log.

bad ram i think that might be it... i have 4 sticks of 1 Gb and it should be equal to 4gb of total ram im my system info it says theer is 2.75....

guess i just never noticed.... Is there any way i can figure out wich are bad be not jst testing them all?
