Speccy shows message "The dependency service or group failed to start.

Hello forum,

I am seeing the following message:

"The dependency service or group failed to start."

I have a similar problem. Can someone tell us, which service need to be active to be able to work, please.

Perhaps look in the Windows Event Viewer for more info on what service was unable to start at the time that you tried to run Speccy.

Just found it by myself, starting different services:

It was the Windows Management Instrumentation service.

Just got to start Type in services, find the service above and properties, start it.

It was set on disable, I just changed it to manual.

I don't know if you were the one who disabled it, but...never disable any services, except Windows Defender if you already have an antivirus. Always set things to Manual if you don't want them to start with Windows ; and always do proper research before doing that. :)
