THANKS for the slim version posted today.
I too enjoy the slim (and portable) versions of Piriform products. For whatever reason,
the availability of the slim version always seems to be delayed for a few days.
Is there a reason for this?
Regards.

Installing the Google stuff helps Piri pay the bills, so they likely hope you'll be tempted rather than wait. Developers need to eat, too. I do it when offered (and uninstall later
).
Anyway, if you already have the slim you'll get the slim without having to wait.

Hi,
Are you referring to the built-in update feature?
I'm accustomed to doing clean installs. I remove the old version of CCleaner with
Revo Uninstaller, then reinstall the updated slim version.
I find that, due to some leftover Piriform registry entries, I can install using the
full version as well, and do not get prompted to install the toolbar.
Still, I always download the slim and portable versions, and add them to my
file archive.
Regards,
Thomas

Lately I don't get the options while updating or clean install.
With some sites I may overlook the fine print and a surprise slips thru, but easy to uninstall later. Cos of that maybe they're slightly richer.

You're causing yourself extra work! With CCleaner there's no reason to uninstall the previous version to do a clean install - unless you're explicity having problems installing a new version over an old one. Usually it's only going to update CCleaner.exe, and on occassion a language .dll file. You can save yourself some time from having to re-configure CCleaner each time by just installing right over the previous version.
