THANKS for the SLIM version

THANKS for the slim version posted today.

I too enjoy the slim (and portable) versions of Piriform products. For whatever reason,

the availability of the slim version always seems to be delayed for a few days.

Is there a reason for this?

Regards.

Installing the Google stuff helps Piri pay the bills, so they likely hope you'll be tempted rather than wait. Developers 2qixkzd.png need to eat, too. I do it when offered (and uninstall later :P).

Anyway, if you already have the slim you'll get the slim without having to wait. :)

Hi,

Are you referring to the built-in update feature?

I'm accustomed to doing clean installs. I remove the old version of CCleaner with

Revo Uninstaller, then reinstall the updated slim version.

I find that, due to some leftover Piriform registry entries, I can install using the

full version as well, and do not get prompted to install the toolbar.

Still, I always download the slim and portable versions, and add them to my

file archive.

Regards,

Thomas

Lately I don't get the options while updating or clean install.

With some sites I may overlook the fine print and a surprise slips thru, but easy to uninstall later. Cos of that maybe they're slightly richer. :)

You're causing yourself extra work! ;) With CCleaner there's no reason to uninstall the previous version to do a clean install - unless you're explicity having problems installing a new version over an old one. Usually it's only going to update CCleaner.exe, and on occassion a language .dll file. You can save yourself some time from having to re-configure CCleaner each time by just installing right over the previous version.
