Temporarily deactivating or shutting down ccleaner

Hi. CCleaner is slowing down my PC and causing it to lag. I would like to shut it down when performing certain tasks. I open task manager, select CCLeaner and click End Task but it keep restarting itself. This is extremely annoying. is there a way top stop ccleaner from running on my PC and turn it back on when I want to?

ccleaner is now a windows service, thus the always running. that said it shouldn’t be using much memory (about 7-30MB of ram, on my machine) and no CPU except when it scans in the background (which should be fast) at which point I don’t find it uses much in resources. can you post a screenshot during these slowdowns, like the following.

Don’t worry about the top two that’s this forum being used when i took the shot. The bottom two would help bugfixers see this resource drain.
