This is tablets not mobile phones. Plus that resolution has to be outputted to an external monitor.

and a battery life of 5 hours play / 2 days standby time probably.

I think they should focus on battery life rather than on actual power. Seriously, who needs a quad-core CPU in a tablet?
I read this somewhere but I don't know how true it is... More the cores, clocked at lower speeds per core = less power usage.
