Hi everyone. Just joined the forum. Also just recently downloaded ccleaner, defraggler, and recuv. In reading your post about the links for uninstallers I went to the first link. Uhm, I'm a little leery in downloading anymore free stuff since that's why I'm in the predicament I'm in now. I've got this dang virus stuff that keeps popping up and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. Also downloaded a horrible free malwarebot that I cannot get rid of. Was told by a computer friend that is isn't legit. Dummy me.
I've been "print screen" and pasting to a blank word document, if anyone out there would like to give some free computer IT'ing to a newby I'd appreciate it. Also the desktop background is unchangeable. I cannot get my original desktop back. When I go to change it, the tab button is not highlighted. This is really urking me.
Please, can someone help? I hope the attachment works.

Yup, follow the instructions here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=20120
Here is a link to the biggest list I have ever seen of malware tools. It has a bunch of rescue disks on it and many other apps I had not even heard of. It's worth checking out. http://www.techsupportalert.com/content/pr...-list-world.htm
Thanks dude. This is cool. Yea some registries do remain behind after un-installation but I was also wondering.......can't CCleaner remove these invalid registries?
. There are usually so man junk data remaining even after you upgrade, format, bla,bla bla. I have also been wondering.......... where do some space in Hard drive disappear to after formatting your hard drive? if it was 160GB after formatting its 152GB. Is there a shredder out there that can completely erase the Hdisk clean and you get your 160 HD back?
no you can't
160GB is decimal and used like a marketing scam, they measure 1000KB to a 1MB, but your computer uses binary reads 1024KB to 1MB, so you loose some there.
Please note there is now a new pinned topic in the Software section, so this one is being unpinned and will be deleted shortly so as to avoid any confusion between the two.
Removal and Cleanup tools for Antivirus and Security Suites.
I'll keep this old one for a few days in case anyone needs to refer to it for any reason.
