I have contacted support twice now. The first time they told me to reactivate my subscription, which isn’t the issue, and the second time, I got no response.
On the 22nd of September 2024, I purchased a renewal {Reference number removed by moderator}, but did not receive a key, and still haven’t, even though the message said 1-2 days.
There will be a slight delay in the delivery of your license key. We are in the process of correcting this technical issue which may include waiting for information from the software publisher. This should be resolved within 1-2 workdays, although it is generally much faster. We will contact you via email as soon as further information is available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I’m now getting nagged about my subscription ending soon.
Please do not put keys, codes, purchase references, etc. in plain sight where they could be stolen.
The wording of that message sounds like it is from Cleverbridge and not CCleaner.
CCleaner would not be “waiting for information from the software publisher.” they are the publisher.
Isn’t Cleverbridge the only way to purchase CCleaner? It’s the only way I’ve ever done it, and the renewal emails are directly from ccleaner. Your message wording, comes across like you’re blaming me for not keeping tabs on who Piriform use for their checkout process. I’ll head over there, because the CCleaner support have been unresponsive since the first attempt and entirely unhelpful over something so basic.
The order email was titled “Cleverbridge / Piriform Software Ltd”, which makes it seem like one in the same, and ends with contact support [AT] ccleaner [DotCom], and links point to the CCleaner support page. So I’m not sure how one is expected to know any different.
It is the only genuine way to purchase from CCleaner.
(The Android version can also be purchased from the Google Play store, and the iPhone version only from the Apple Store).
However there are scammers out there, and people do fall for them and pay them.
PS. If it was a simple renewal of an existing key then you wouldn’t normally be sent a new key, your time remaining should simply be extended.
There again if it was still an old-style key then you may get sent a new-style key on renewal.
But we have to agree that CCleaner support is woeful these days.
I’ve flagged this thread up to the CCleaner staff for you.
Hi @Anach,
Apologies for the delay in responding to your support request.
I have asked our support team to investigate your case to find the reason it has not been processed correctly.
If you have not heard from them within the next 3 working days, please message me back so I can follow up on this.
Just an FYI, I sent this last night, and got a reply, so there’s likely multiple tickets now.
Cleverbridge works with Piriform and other software companies to provide payment and billing services. In this specific case, we’ve forwarded your request to the Piriform support specialists directly, since this is a question that the software manufacturer takes care of themselves.
