State Enabled, Output devices support, Unsafe

My second monitor a Samsung SA550 is in a two monitor setup, Running speccy show this message 'State Enabled, Output devices support, Unsafe''. i am worried this morning I had to replace a similar monitor on this same PC that gave the same description in speccy and that could not display anything on the screen except for a message that it does not receive any signal from the AMD V4900 firegl video card. The replacement monitor SA550 gives a perfect image but when running speccy the same message is displayed. Here is the message

What is the meaning of the ' State: Unsafe' ? The old monitor that I replaced was 3 years old. Its replacement is 2 years old. What do you recommend ?
Thanks

6 Years ago I answered a simular thread by saying

I've still not seen a Developer's answer to this one, but I can tell you not to worry. Most of us have it saying "unsafe". I believe it is perfectly safe to have it be unsafe.
Today I'm going to direct the developers to this thread so it can be answered by them

I think Unsafe may mean either the driver is outdated, one (or both) monitor is not using a native resolution or both monitors aren't on the same resolution.

I use 2 Flatron's, same make/model, same (recommended) resolution, same frequency and don't show Unsafe.

purely from a curiosity aspect, can you start an elevated command prompt, type in wmic, hit Enter, then paste this in; PATH Win32_VideoController WHERE "VideoProcessor LIKE '%amd%'" GET /format:list

what does ErrorCleared, LastErrorCode and Status say?

can you see the word Unsafe anywhere?

if not, then it's probably not WMI but Speccy doing some calculations.

Hi mta & Nergal

I don't know why my copy-paste didn't work at command prompt. I had to type the string completely . I was able to paste the string in a file only.

Here are the results: I can not see the word 'Unsafe' in any of the displayed lines.

ErrorCleared=

LastErrorCode=

Status=OK

Statusinfo=

Its true that I have two different monitors connected.

DELL U2515H on ATI FirePro V (FireGL V) Graphics Adapter (2560X1440 pixwls)

SMS23A550H on ATI FirePro V (FireGL V) Graphics Adapter (1929X1080 pixels)

The Dell remplaced a year ago another similar Samsung SA550 monitor. I had no display problem with my new setup with this actual setup, up to yesterday when the Samsung SA550 was displaying that it coudn't find the signal from the AMD firegl V4900, after its replacement the monitor displayed immediately an image.

Thanks a lot for your help , it is much appreciated

I just forgot to mention that both monitors display in speccy the same message

State Enabled, Output devices support, Unsafe

I get this message too with only 1 monitor and it's a brand new pc, I just built. This has been passed on to the proper people at Piriform and we are waiting for an answer.

Hello,

Are you still waiting for any answer from Piriform?

I've the same issue for my monitors (2 out of 3 show Unsafe). WMIC reports no error and status OK.

Looks like Piriform support is not really responsive.
