Folks, my wild 14 year old know-it-all installed CCleaner on my laptop (XP based) and at blinding speeds set options and ran it!
I think it may be fortunate he ran a registry backup before he ran CCleaner.
At this point, I am missing my recent programs listing under the Start Menu.
What is the most direct way to get it back?

not sure if you can.doesnt the recent programs thing come back by itself when you open a few programs?as far as i know its not dangerous that the Recent Programs thing was cleaned,and a registry restore wont fix it.
To make things clear are you actually talking about Recent Programs that WinXP places in the Start area, or are you talking about My Recent Documents?
