start CCleaner minimized in systray after a reboot

Suggested new setting option for CCleaner:

--> start minimized in systray after a reboot

I would like this option because I use CCleaner very frequently throughout the day, and this would be the most handy way to access it.

I can do this by putting a shortcut in my Startup folder, except it starts maximized after a reboot. I want it minimized.

Why not add a quick launch icon?? that way you free up RAM and can instantly start CCleaner when you need it.

If you still want to start CCleaner minimised then Nirsoft's NirCmd should be able to help.

I already have a CCleaner quick launch icon, along with 100 or so others. That's not quite as handy as having it always visible in systray. I'm not really interested in exploring 3rd party software either.

If your quick launch is cluttered why not have CCleaner as a desktop icon instead that way you know where to find it when you need it.

As for 3rd party tools I don't see anything wrong with using them because sometimes you need to add functionality to operating system or applications that lack your requirements.

If you don't want to use nircmd.exe there is an alternative providing don't mind getting to see a glimps of the DOS Prompt window.

Create a new desktop shortcut, then cut and paste the following text for the first entry:

cmd.exe /c start /min /dpath "C:\Program Files\CCleaner" CCleaner.exe
"Next", "Finish".

Now go to start menu: "Start", "Programs", right click over "Startup", select "Open" and move your shortcut into "Startup".

All done, now every time Windows loads the desktop CCleaner should automatically start as minimised.

There are those who would say the CCleaner is 3rd party software ! !

It's useless and dangerous for your hdd to "use CCleaner very frequently throughout the day"

While I doubt this will be implimented the developers do consider all suggestions (though rarly comment)

I don't know if this will help, but if you install CCleaner with the option to have a right click menu, then you can right click the recycle bin & choose "Run CCleaner" & it will run ccleaner minimized & auto-close after it is complete.

I use this many times, & it is sorta kinda like what your looking, minus the always visible, but is still just a recycle-bin right click away!

Let me know if this helps or not!
