Start Bar

For some reason ever time i log on to my account the start bar always takes a while to load up. Theres nothing wrong with it, it is just alittle annoying.

The only reason i have thought it might do this is becuase i have crystal XP installed.

Is there any way to make it load faster?

Do you have lots of running processes at start up?

no i got basically nothing. Want me to post a Hijack log for you to see if there is anything that really does not need to be running?

This could be the problem. It tries to add extra theme support.

Ya!! Turan you rock!!!

Much better like it was when i first got my computer brand new.

Thanks Again!!

Glad to hear it's all fixed up. :D

ah!! the evil thing is responding!!

I came on my computer this morning and it was slow again and checked hijack this and the entry was back!!!

what to do!!!

Start > Run > Services.msc

Find "TuneUp WinStyler Theme Service"

Set to Disabled.

If this causes any issues, just reset it to Manual or Automatic.

even doing that it comes back....

It is evil!!!

Is it possible it is other program ?

Are you using it for a certain theme?

sort of but i can get ride of it.

Thanks for your help

As I'm thinking it may be out there and able to be used with a patched UXTheme.dll file.

So the service keeps re-enabling itself after you disable it. Did you use the services.msc to disable it?

Find it and right click, go to Properties, the dropdown box should be changed to Disabled. Press Apply, then OK. That should fix it.

ok this time it stopped running but the startbar is still running slow.

This is really annoying

Thanks again for all your help

Have there been any modifications made to your system that would effect explorer.exe?

not that i can think of...

umm i guess not.

what types of things would effect it?
