Speed up CCleaner on startup

Disable Internet Explorer History cleaning. That's it.

I've set CCleaner to run on startup. Unfortunately it bogged my PC a bit and I had to wait for it to finish before I can start Chrome and check my mail.

I've also noticed that it takes CCleaner forever to erase IE History - it comes to 2% and then stalls... When I disabled history cleaning, it took CCleaner a second or two and it was done.

My laptop and desktop both confirm this speed boost. I've installed the Internet Explorer 9 beta on both.

Did anyone notice the same thing?

I have IE8 the max that XP can have and noticed some time ago CCleaner's cleaning was slowed, however I leave everything ticked. One other thing that will slow down cleaning is in the browser sections such as Firefox that have Compact Databases when CCleaner decides they need compacting/optimizing.

The start up clean being slow actually doesn't surprise me much. You can also have CCleaner clean then shutdown Windows using command line parameters.
