Determine if the fault is with the sensor or Speccy. Can you get a readout with CoreTemp or OpenHardwareMonitor?
Perhaps Speccy v1.19 is able to read the temperature ?

James, the moderators are no different or better than all the other volunteer members here. We're all just that, volunteer members, so maybe your post should be directed to the developers of Speccy.
But to be honest, I think it really beyond the bounds of fairness to expect a free utility to provide the same levels of information as a quite expensive commercial application. ...

... which retails currently for $149.95. You can't really compare the two, but If you do expect that level of information, then can I respectfully suggest there's an option already in front of you.
The developers do read these threads, and although I can't speak for them, I somehow think they may have the same thoughts about your comparison.
Of course I could be wrong as this is just my humble opinion.
