Everytime I open the program I get this icon. Please see pic. How do I stop from doing that? When I open pics it also comes up, ie: I use thumbnail option to see pics that same file will appear saying thumb something.ini. Please advise

If so there's nothing you can do about it, as all programs display their icon like that.

Thats because you've got the actual program (the exe) on your desktop, that should be in the Irfanview program folder (with a shortcut to it on your desktop, not the actual exe).
