Software Updater (Visual Studio)

In my opinion, this suggestion is incorrect.

These are two different programs:

- Visual Studio 16.X is Visual Studio 2019

- Visual Studio 17.X is Visual Studio 2022

For example, I can't upgrade Visual Studio from 2019 to 2022, I have to work with the 2019 version.

Thanks!

Hi @Yraine Thanks for reporting this issue to us as I understand how this would not refer to an update for Visual Studio 2019 and instead, it refers to an entirely new version of the program, Visual Studio 2022, therefore should not be treated as a software update.

I'll report this issue to our development team and I suspect this will be resolved in the near future.

If you happen to notice any other issues, please let us know; we greatly appreciate this feedback as it is one of the best ways for us to improve our products and services.

Exactly!

Thank you for your assistance! =)

Hi @Yraine I wanted to follow-up with you on this as our product team has not yet been able to replicate the issue.

To help us investigate further, can you please tell us where you Visual Studio 2019 installation is located?

(e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Community\Common7\IDE\)

Sure!

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Professional\Common7\IDE

(Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2019, Version 16.11.24)

Hi @Yraine Thanks again for bringing this to our attention, and apologies for the delay.

I can confirm the problem has been resolved so as of now, CCleaner should no longer offer the Visual Studio update.

However if the issue has persisted and/or if you happen to notice anything else, please let us know as we greatly appreciate feedback like this, and would be eager to help with anything you may need.

Hi,

I confirm that the problem has been resolved for me too!

Thank you! =)
