Software updater taking forever

Hi,

Software updater taking forever to update software and is failing more often than it succeeds.
Suggestions?

I just use it just as a heads up that there is an update for the software.

Then I’ll open the software itself to update it there rather than letting CCleaner try to do it.

I think you might be right, as somehow it had been set to manually update and was definitely out-of-date.
