Oh well .......... Piriform obviously don't care , CCleaner was the best application of this type, but that is no longer the case. Comments here and around the net prove this program is just not what it was.
As it won't run correctly or obey the setttings applied, the only choice is to delete it from the system.

CCleaner uninstalled and replaced.
Could you please enlighten us as to what is supposed to be a superior alternative to CCleaner? I think I will soon be in the market to replace CC myself. I just installed two 64-bit 8.1U1 systems and both of them trigger the UAC at login (CCleaner starting at login) and when launched manually. I have a desktop that began its life at 64-bit 8 and has been updated continuously to the most recent patches, and CCleaner doesn't trigger UAC prompt. WTF? These are both HTPCs and the prompt is a pain in the ass.

Posting and linking to competitive products isn't allow per the Piriform owner instructions, so the post would only get edited or deleted if someone posts something like that.
I have this problem too, sometimes it will open ok but sometimes I get the warning, even though the box to ignore it has been checked on a previous occasion - have to go back and check it again.
