Silent uninstall of CCleaner v3.03 does not work?

It seems like in the newest CCleaner v3.03.1366 the silent uninstall option of "uninst.exe -S" that previously worked has now been removed. The same goes for Defraggler v2.02.253, "uninst.exe -S" doesn't work here either. If I try to run them as above, a GUI for uninstalling shows, requiring manual input.

Any clues as to why? Anyone have a workaround?

(I know the GUIs may be manipulated with AutoIt scripts or similar tools, but there is a need for silent uninstalls without user interaction and knowledge.)

Kind regards,

MrOlrich

Bump.

Does anyone have a solution to this yet, or at least a workaround (except for AutoIt-scripting a GUI uninstall)?

MrOlrich

Never mind. New downloads of both CCleaner and Defraggler, silent install and uninstall (of slim versions) with /S, now work.

Found another post somewhere about Piriform delaying publishing slim/free versions. I'll attribute this anomaly to that.

Good evening!

Hi Mr Olrich.

Although you didn't get a reply, probably because no one actually new the cause of your issue, I'm pleased it's sorted now.

Welcome to the forum by the way.
