Maintenance type programs should not be run with other programs running,especially other maintenance type programs such as defragmentation,disk optimizers or software updates.

CCleaner is designed to do more frequent maintenace chores.

Other Piriform products should be investigated also as regards your suggestions.

This one is covered by a batch file I made sometime ago since it was always being requested.

The batch file is neat. But it would be cooler if, it could be a check box in the application. So, the shut down is part of the application.

I use CCleaner so much I wouldn't need it to be automated.

Once I shutdown my PC and walked away, only to return 8 hours later to see that a process hung.

Since that happened, I like to stay present until shutdown is complete.
