I switch between XP, 7, & sometimes Vista, using portable CCleaner.
The problem is, that the options under CCleaner are different (slightly) under XP than in Vista, which is also slightly different than in 7.
It will show extra options under 7 that are missing under XP, etc...
I would love to be able to have an option to show all selections, with perhaps a small indicator of which OS it belongs to.
_____________
Example:
[ ] Show all options for all OS
XP:
[ ] Old Prefetch Data
[ ] Menu Order Cache
[ ] Tray Notifications Cache
Vista:
[ ] Old Prefetch Data
[ ] Menu Order Cache
[ ] Tray Notifications Cache
7:
[ ] Old Prefetch Data
[ ] Menu Order Cache
[ ] Tray Notifications Cache
_____________
This would really make things a lot easier for me, because I could then pre-check all the options I wanted in XP, then all the options I wanted in Vista, then all the options I wanted in 7 also.
I could run CCleaner portably, without having to change any settings when I changed to a different OS.
_____________
If this isn't possible, perhaps a way to add an Emulation tab next to the other two tabs in CCleaner, similar to this:
Windows | Applications | Emulate
------------------------------------------------
With of course, the OS versions it supports under Emulate
[ ] XP
[ ] Vista
[ ] 7
_____________
* I even thought of a little round radio button for each OS at the bottom of CCleaner, or in advanced options.
Not sure how possible this is, but it would be awesome to configure all the options at one time, so it is ready to go!
