So using Win32DiskImager I've accidentally overwritten a small part of my 6TB backup drive with an image file for a Raspberry Pi OS. The drive contains mostly photos and home movies. I've tried accessing the drive thru Recuva and it says 'unrecognized fie system'. Would it be advisable to do a quick format on the dive to gain access? Would this affect my chance of recovering as much data as possible?
