Selecting cookies to keep or delete

I’ve recently updated to ccleaner 7 & am not impressed!

In CC6 I could select the cookies I want to keep by simply dragging them from one column to another i.e.

As far as I can tell, this isn’t possible in CC7.

I’ve looked on the help pages & found an article that says:

By default, when you run the Cleaner, CCleaner deletes all of the cookies for all of your Web browsers (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and so on) except those in the Cookies to Keep column, which can be found in the Options > Cookies section of the program.

but I can’t find the “Options > Cookies” section in CC7, so I guess that page is out of date now.

So, can anyone tell me if I can do this in CC7 & if so, where/how?

Thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

In Custom Clean there’s a settings in the Righthand pane. Cookies are there.
With Healthcheck you must first run a scan then can access a settings in the righthand pane, you’ll find cookies there.

Thanks, but it’s still pretty useless compared with version 6. This seems to be a case of “it wasn’t broke so why on earth did they try to ‘fix‘ it!?!“

I won’t be renewing my subscription when this one runs out

note i am a user and that should not be taken as a company answer, i’m only showing you where it is. i agree the new dumbed down cookies section is not as appealling as the previous two column method.

I agree. The two panel arrangement in v6 worked perfectly. The v7 version is a real backward step. Moreover, v7 doesn’t clean any Opera cookies.
I could say the same about the setup of Custom clean. In v6, cleaning options/choices were cleary visible for all apps all the time and could be changed easily. In v7 you have to go through a series of dropdowns. A real backward step.
