Hello

yesterday i buy the downlod recuva
and the first was make a security mirror (???) from the the dates or harddrive
The harddrive was a system drive ( ex C: ) now as a intern Slave harddrive F:
The Harddrive has 250 Gb
The Drive for the recue Mirror is a new USB Harddrive with 1 Tb
now when i will make the mirror , recuva says the new drive is not big enough or not enough free space
what can i do
regards
klaus
Did you place the secure mirror on the drive you wish to recover to? If so it makes sense that it wouldn't have enough room
Hi
no i want repair drive F, with 239 MB
and want to make the mirros on a new and empty usb drive with 1 terrabite named H
the program tells me drive f with 239 MB and the usb drve 993 MB
Recuva is not the right software to make a mirror copy. How did you scan? Normal or deep? Did you check 'Scan for non-deleted files'?
However you scan you will always get all the deleted files, which could add up to a lot of data.
You would be better using some other copying software. Or you could just copy the old c drive complete to the new disk. Right click on F and select copy, paste to H.
Augeas, I think the pay version offers to create a vhd mirror before scan, I think that's what klaus is referring to.
it was the second site on the recuva assistant is the question
no. direct on the drive repair
or
yes. make a mirror from the drive
than i can change the drive for repair
and the drive where it will be seved
in the next window comes wait we tell you the time we nead for the mirros
than the program break and tells me not enough free space
i hope you understand my bad english
You're English is fine Klaus, and welcome to the forum.
Two things.
Firstly, you say you have a new 1TB USB hard drive to copy the mirror image to. Being new, have you actually used that drive at all? Has it been properly formatted for use?
Some new drives are already formatted when you buy them, but some are not.
Secondly, because you have purchased Recuva, that entitles you to priority support from the developers of Recuva.
You can contact them here ...

Select "Recuva Professional" from the drop down menu bottom right of the page.
