Secure file deletion

Ok i see the cleaner has sure file deletion in 4 modes, how does one know which mode to use, and if 1 pass is used it does not reformat correct doesn't it just clean history a whole lot better then normal, don t all all 4 modes clean a lot better 1, 2, 3 then best clean stuff that a normal run miss's but then again wasn't their another post here going over the fact that the 4th level(?) miss's

a lot hum, will that be fixed then one hopes have it retested or should we get better more effective software that stands up to mircoscopit scans and of course does not reformat just cleans that hidden history umn have i missed anything and whats MTF space - thanks for the help . .

1) Don't use anything but 1 overpass or the DoD one if you are paranoid (DoD stands for the US Department of Defense). Gutmann is completely pointless unless you use 20-years-old drives.

2) Don't use Wipe Free Space unless you want to sell your drive. The "Wipe MFT Free Space" checkbox only work if you use it. WFS will fill your deleted space with zeroes, making any file recovery attempts pointless.

Do you realise the cost of a clean lab test?
