CCleaner v7 is still a ‘testing’ version and isn’t fully released yet.
This is the latest news about it from 2 days ago, as you can see they are still finding and fixing bugs:
So what you are seeing may be a bug in v7, the developers are watching this forum for reports of v7 so should see your report and look into it.
If you are not interested in test versions, or do have a bug that is stopping you using v7 then you may be better running the ‘Official’ CCleaner v6 until v7 is complete and fully ready to replace it.

PS. At the moment installing v6 will not remove v7 from your machine (and installing v7 will not remove v6).
So you can still test/try v7 while using v6 as usual. (or you can uninstall one of them - your choice).

CCleaner 7 Beta will run alongside CCleaner 6. During the beta phase, you may encounter bugs, but you’ll retain access to all features until CCleaner 7 is generally available.
