I was just in tools to select a program to uninstall and I was able to scroll down but not back up again. I am using latest installed version of Pro. Not just this is a bug or not. I guess it depends on if others are having this issue. I never had it on all other versions.
and just to check, you can scroll up using the mouse wheel in, say, Word?
firstly, try another reinstall, you never know;
uninstall your current version first.
then go into the Program Files folder for CC and delete its contents
(keep the .ini file if you have customised settings)
download the latest build from here; <a href="https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds" rel="external nofollow">https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds</a>
reboot the PC then install CC from your downloaded file.
leave it at the Free version for know and test your scrolling works.
if yes, plug in the license key to make it Pro.
if still no luck, try going back to an earlier version, available from FileHippo.
there are many users with Kaspersky and/or MalwareBytes that are having issues with the v5.43 build, do you use those at all?
I uninstalled Malwarebytes with their tool rebooted. Uninstalled CCleaner, rebooted, downloaded new version, installed, rebooted, left in free mode, still no scroll back up.
Well installing an older version did not work, however I figured out what the problem. I thought I would exit out of Spyshelter and sure enough, I was able to scroll normally again.
And so for what ever reason one of Spyshelters options is causing this. I was able to install latest version of CCleaner and with Spyshelter off, able to scroll again just fine.
I might try disabling Spyshelters options one by one out of curiosity just to see if I can find it.
I gave it a spin but didn't find a need for it in my setup.
with the security settings in Win10 these days, and my adblocker, MalwareBytes Premium, Windows Defender and HOSTS file, I sort of have covered everything Spyshelter offers.
it did seem to be a nice wide-coverage security program though and if it was still in the XP or Win7 days, I'd probably have it on my PC's.
the free anti keylogger hasn't been supported since October 2016.
I installed the 14day trial of the premium version and had no trouble scrolling up or down in CC - but then, I'm leaving my CC version at 5.40 until the mess that is 5.42 gets resolved.
