Script MIR Command Wiped out Drive, Best way to recover the most info

I Have several scripts that I use to backup folders of info on a external HDD and my main storage. So I keep specific archives of Files, movie and images synchronized between them so they remain identical. Problem is I had a Drive letter change and wasn't paying attention and It wipped out an entire 2tb drive of data before I noticed and stopped it only writing a total of 2gb of new data.

My question is using Recuva can I recover all the data In place on the drive or should I get a second drive of the same size to recover to. I don't know if in the recovery it will overwrite the data I'm trying to recover in the process.

The drive wasn't full so I don't know if the 2gb of info overwrote any of the lost data but I figure loosing 2gb is better then up to 2TB.

I've used Recuva before just not to this extent. I haven't touched the drive since it happened in fear of making it worse.

also it was a robocopy script If that means anything. Here is the script.

robocopy "F:\Master Wallpaper" "G:\Master Wallpaper Backup" /MIR /COPY:DAT /DCOPY:T

pause

Thanks

You really need to recover the data to a different drive.

Ok thanks I was fearing that, I'll just have to wait tell I get another Drive.

Thanks
